Study of storage thermal energy of latent heat Application to the solar collector
Main Article Content
Abstract
The energy production provided by a heat excess or discontinuous source (solar, waste heat...) involve the utilization of a thermal storage in the thermodynamic or recuperation chain. These last years, studies on thermal storage systems have been developed in order to bring technical and economic elements. The study includes two parts. The first one concern a numerical analysis of a latent-heat thermal energy storage unit is conducted. The element of storage is a rectangular closed cavity filled with a phase change material (PCM) initially at the solid state. At t = 0 a heat flux is applied through one of the vertical walls of the cavity. Other one, experimental steady treats a new type of solar collector was developed and tested to valid numerical models.
